Welcome back one and all.
Those who know me know I don't shy away from difficult topics. In fact, I rather find it interesting how people react when I broach these subjects. Everyone has to have a hobby, right?
I created these posters to celebrate the legalization of marijuana for use in adults 21 and over in the state of Oregon, back in 2015. They were an extension of the Blacklight Voter Poster series from the previous year, which were tools I used to encourage people to get out and vote Yes on 91 in 2014. It was our third attempt on the ballot to get this measure passed.
The people spoke and pot was decriminalized. Here it is, almost 3 years later, and all of the haters, naysayers and doom-and-gloom prophecies put forth by centrists and conservatives have not come to pass. There is still work to be done on this topic, like what the City of San Francisco is doing: removing prior weed arrests and prosecutions from records of those convicted prior to 2015.
Remember them when you light up this week, or at any time. Use your privilege to right a wrong we always knew was wrong, but had little legal recourse or guidance on how to go about doing this.
These posters are tabloid sized, and can be printed for $2.00 USD or less at your local copy shop. Click on either image to open or download. Share and enjoy.
And, to answer the question I get asked the most, here it is, and it's all Dylan, baby: 12 times 35 is 420. The more you know.
Love to you all.
