An item from the vaults, using the words of Malcolm X, that remind me of what I need right now.
July has been a difficult month. After four months of unemployment, I was hoping, like so many others, that the COVID-19 pandemic would be on the decline. Sadly, this could not be more far from the reality. There are even two new cases of the disease in my apartment complex, which I found out this morning.
More layoffs in my geographical region. Virus spread out of control. Politics. Trump. Haters. Liars and all around crazy. I know you have been going through it as well on levels I may never experience. On top of it all, a potential new job (no thanks to Ivanka Trump and her truly ridiculous “Find Something New” campaign of ignorance), a new position I was going to apply for was closed, unfilled by the employer due to the recession.
I haven’t felt much like creating anything, which is the reason this post is coming out so late in July. I thought that possibly I could find some inspiration in something from the vaults, and saw this, which I created some time ago in honor of a friend and local person who is an everyday hero. It really hit me hard today, and has given me a very small, but very important, thing to remember.
The poster can be printed at most copy shops for around $1.50 USD each. Click on the image to open the PDF file.
Stay safe, support those on the front lines and fight the good fight.
Love to you all.
