Whites have ignored the problem for far too long and failed to act when we were informed. #justiceforfloyd #endpolicebrutality #whitesilenceisviolence #justscrolltroll #blacklivesmatter
Today, I am speaking directly to other white people.
This month’s piece was not supposed to happen. But this is AmeriKKKa; why should I be surprised.
The murder of George Floyd last month in Minneapolis has lit the fuse on a long simmering time bomb here in the U.S.: that Black people, especially unarmed Black people, are the targets of white supremacists in this country.
But don’t take my word for it. The FBI warned us that white supremacists have been using “ghost skin” to hide their racist affiliations and infiltrate police departments and the military for years. In fact, this report was published over 14 years ago. Some of you will say “I don’t see color.” This is actually a potentially more frightening statement, because what that translates to is “The police can murder anyone they want.” It says a great deal when some individuals, media outlets, organizations and politicians focus more on the broken glass caused at demonstrations recently than having to do the hard part, which is to hit the root of this problem directly.
If you have a problem with this freebie, guess what? No one is asking you to like it. In fact, I would hope that you would come to the understanding that I never wanted to have to create it. This should piss you off to the point of actually doing something about this horrible occurrence. Then why did I produce this? Because white silence is white violence. It isn’t enough to say you’re not racist. You have to be anti-racist. Additionally, no one needs to hear your BS about how much it offends you, either.
If you don’t like it, then scroll, troll.
